James Abdey Visits TMUC Islamabad for Academic Engagement and Alumni Connect
Islamabad, 21 September 2026: TMUC Islamabad welcomed James Abdey, Associate Academic Director, LSE-UoL International Programmes at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), on Monday, 21 September 2026, for a day of academic engagement, faculty interaction and alumni connection.
During his visit, James Abdey engaged with the LSE faculty at TMUC Islamabad, providing an opportunity for meaningful discussion and exchange around the academic experience of students pursuing LSE programmes through the University of London framework at TMUC. The interaction also provided faculty members with an opportunity to connect with the wider LSE-UoL academic community.
James was accompanied throughout the day by Saad Wasim, Regional Advisor South Asia, University of London (Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh). Their visit provided an important opportunity to strengthen the academic and institutional relationship between TMUC, the University of London and LSE.
The day concluded with TMUC Alumni Connect, an evening dedicated to bringing together TMUC alumni who have pursued their academic journeys through the University of London and LSE. James Abdey and Saad Wasim joined the alumni for an evening of conversation, reconnection and celebration.
The event brought together alumni from different graduating years, creating an opportunity for former students to reconnect with their peers, faculty and the wider TMUC community. The evening reflected the enduring connection between TMUC and its alumni and celebrated the academic journeys and achievements of graduates who remain an important part of the institution’s community.
The event was attended by key members of the TMUC leadership and academic team, including Mariam Qasim, Dean of Academics and Internationalisation; Sharmeen Waqas, Head of Quality Assurance and Compliance; and Muneeze Muzaffar, Head of Institution.
As part of the evening, all attending alumni were presented with a special token of appreciation from James Abdey, Saad Wasim and TMUC, recognising their continued connection with the institution and their place within the wider University of London and LSE alumni community.
The Alumni Connect evening provided a warm and engaging setting for alumni to share experiences, reconnect with their university community and strengthen relationships that extend beyond graduation.
Speaking on the occasion, TMUC highlighted the importance of maintaining strong connections with its alumni and international academic partners, while continuing to create opportunities for students, faculty and graduates to engage with the wider global academic community.
