COURSEWORK SUBMISSION & GRADING CRITERIA
That I will adhere to Assignment/work submission date at all cost, failing to meet submission date will result in repeat the unit again in the next semester.
In case of disagreement with the result, learner has right to appeal formally through written application for review of the result within one week after the result is disclosed.
Resubmission is only allowed only If learner does not achieve the pass criteria on first submission. Resubmission decision Is held under the jurisdiction of Assessment Board. Learners with resubmission work will be notify after the assessment board meeting, held in each semester, and It must be submitted before resubmission deadline specified in the semester planner. Late resubmission work Is only accepted If It Is submitted before the resubmission deadline as specified on the semester planner and assignment brief of every unit.
Assignment is considered as Late submission if learner fails to submit his/her assignment on final assignment submission date for summative assessment as per the semester planner, which Is shared with all the learners at the time of Learner Induction Program. Late submission will only be accepted If It Is before the resubmission date, and the assignment will be grade capped. Late submission Is allowed after formal written approval by the assessor, program leader and the HOI (The Head of the Institute).
In Mitigating circumstances case, such as Illness, learner needs to submit a timely formal written or online application form along with valid reason and evidence to request for an extension in assignment submission date. Each application Is assessed by Exceptional/Mitigating Circumstances Board leaded by Dean, Head of Institute, program coordinator and manager for the final approval or disapproval. Learner will be notified about the decision via email.
A student will not be entitled to be reassessed in any component for which a Pass or higher has already been awarded.
Reassessment for numerical based unit like unit 5-Management Accounting, Unit 10-Financial Accounting, shall Involve completion of a new test. (Applicable to HN Business Only)
That I understand that final grades in a subject shall be awarded only after the completion of the assessment process includes assessor, internal verifier, lead verifier and external verifier assessment.
That I understand that the class attendance and VIVA/assignment presentation attendance shall count towards my final grade and I shall be penalized and considered responsible in case of uninformed absence in terms of grade capping or retake in the unit.
That I shall submit my assignment to Turnitin check, properly filling the assignment front sheet before making final submission, otherwise my assignment shall not be
A Leaner has to repeat the unit If the Assessment Board decide It Is necessary, which Includes, poor academic record, such as: low attendance, non-submission of work for formative and summative assessment, non-submission of assignment's presentation and high plagiarism report. In this case, leaner needs to pay again the tuition fee and grade will be capped at pass, and It can be repeated once. However, student will not be treated unfairly In terms of deadlines and the assessment provided.
If a student repeats an RQF unit and still does not achieve a Pass in neither their first submission nor resubmission, they will be required to either complete a different unit in full or take the unit as compensation.
That I will follow all the policies and procedures applied by the TMUC management and shall be held responsible in case of non-compliance.
REGULATORY
That TMUC is not responsible for my academic pre-requisite that I may require for HEC and it is my responsibility to complete HEC requirements for any equivalence.

REGISTRY
The management has the right to drop my course and award an F (unclassified) and impose a fine on me failing to meet timelines for Edexcel registration, assignments submission and meeting all other academic requirements due on the learner by TMUC.
My registration and academic assessment will start from the date I will pay my Edexcel registration fee.
That I shall not request the university to release my Diploma/Degree until I have gained clearance from all departments, cleared my fee dues, and met the abovementioned requirements of attendance and assignment That I will pay my Pearson Registration Fee applicable at the time of admission, at the beginning of HND Qualification within 6 working days since the beginning of class by duly filling the Pearson registration form In the Registry office. In case of wrong name spellings and date of birth, I shall be held responsive for this mistake. University will not process my Pearson registration application If I fail to submit Pearson registration fee and duly completed form.
That I shall only request for my internal/external transcript at the end of each semester, e. (6 months) subject to appearance at the Final VIVA session/Presentation or any other requirement by the Faculty/Management.
That I understand that I can only become eligible to make a request for Diploma Claim subject to the fulfillment of criteria, e. submission of 15 assignments through MICROSOFT TEAMS, and complete payment against the time period of my course, (minimum of 24 months or otherwise in case of extension in Course time period).
I understand the total minimum time duration of completion of higher nation diploma program Is 2 years and I cannot compel the University to release the Diploma without completing the minimum time period requirement and adherence to all academic rules and regulation set by the Pearson and the TMUC.

In the event of a serious breach, criminal misconduct, or where it is believed that the health, safety or welfare of others may be jeopardized by the continuing presence of a person or persons they will be suspended or withdrawn from the TMUC admissions register immediately. Throughout the period of study with the TMUC, students are expected to abide by the student code of conduct, which is based upon respect for individuals, teachers, management, race, culture, religion, background, property and the environment. The following actions, whether occurring on TMUC premises or elsewhere, are examples of conduct which is not acceptable to the TMUC and may lead to instigation of formal student disciplinary
