Our Legacy

It is with profound grief and heartfelt sorrow, that we announce the sad demise of our beloved Ma’am Safia Farooqi, who has passed away on 23rd March 2020 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was serving as the Executive Director and Dean TMUC and Roots Millennium Education Pakistan.

Today, while we mourn the loss of a great human being, an academic and a passionate educationist par excellence, we salute the dedication, commitment and enduring resolve of a most extraordinary life; associated with teaching, learning, children, classrooms and curriculum for over 30 years, associated with Roots School System, Roots Millennium Education and recently with The Millennium Universal Colleges TMUC Pakistan, where she was serving as the Executive Director and Dean of Academics.

Ma’am Safia Farooqi’s unbreakable spirit, professional demeanour, academic resilience and moral courage in the face of education, defines who she was. Despite multiple challenges, she lived her life to the fullest – with smile, laughter, passion and a relentless sense of purpose, identity and resolve.

Ma’am Safia Farooqi has inspired, shaped, mentored and impacted a whole generation of millennial learners and teachers for over 30years, where many of her students and teachers are successfully contributing in all spheres of life, citizenship and society. She never wavered from her principles regardless of the circumstances, always ready to stand for social change and empowerment, a cause she believed in. Ma’am Safia Farooqi was a mentor and role model to thousands of learners, students, teachers and educators worldwide, a loyal consistent colleague, loving wife, compassionate mother, deeply admired by all whose lives she touched.

Her legacy remains of enduring value to education fraternity, communities she served and our country. A salute to a colleague who has left us on 23rd March. We will live her legacy and she will always be remembered, cherished and celebrated.
