TMUC Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad campuses recently had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation from the University of Hertfordshire (UH), marking a significant milestone in TMUC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic collaborations. The UH team, which included key representatives from several departments, was led by Dr. Vito Veneziano, School Academic Lead for Degree Apprenticeships in the Computing Department, Elizabeth Kirkbride, Deputy Dean of the School of Laws and Education, and Dr. Barbara Henry, Associate Dean, along with Ms. Zaherah Saghir, Senior Lecturer in Law. Ms. Sayara Beg, Senior Lecturer in Business Administration and Collaborative Partnership Lead, from the Business Department, also joined the visit. The visit was organized and hosted by Dr. Sarina Shirazi, Head of Business and Social Sciences, and Mr. Mir Wajid, Head of Computing at TMUC, and it proved to be a productive and insightful engagement for all involved.
Throughout the visit, the University of Hertfordshire team engaged meaningfully with TMUC’s faculty members, observing classroom dynamics, interacting with students, and conducting a thorough review of the institution’s teaching and learning practices. Their visit provided an invaluable opportunity for both institutions to explore areas of academic collaboration and discuss innovative strategies to enhance the student experience. The discussions focused on aligning curricula, identifying new opportunities for degree apprenticeships, and strengthening the partnership across key academic disciplines, including computing, law, education, and business administration. This productive exchange further solidified the partnership between TMUC and the University of Hertfordshire, reaffirming TMUC’s commitment to providing world-class education and fostering academic excellence.
