TMUC Hosts Greenovation Challenge 4.0, Showcasing Innovation, Sustainability, and Youth Leadership

Islamabad — Thursday, 22nd January 2026:
The Millennium Universal College (TMUC) successfully hosted the Greenovation Challenge 4.0 at its Islamabad campus, bringing together young innovators from TMUC and other universities to showcase transformative ideas focused on sustainability, technology, and future-ready enterprise.

A total of 22 teams registered for the competition, representing TMUC as well as external institutions. After a rigorous evaluation process, six top teams qualified for the final round. The competition proved exceptionally intense, with the winning team securing victory by a narrow margin of just 0.25 marks, highlighting the high quality and competitiveness of the ideas presented.

The challenge witnessed a diverse range of innovative concepts centred around sustainable solutions, environmental responsibility, and technology-driven transformation, reflecting the growing commitment of Pakistan’s youth toward creating impactful change.

The distinguished panel of judges included Ambassador Sardar Masood Khan, Mr. Fawad Wazir Bhatti, CEO Beyond Technology, Ms. Sara Abbasi, President, Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Mr Asad Malik, Head of Business Development, ACCA North, Dr Bilal Zubair, Director, Centre for International Strategic Studies, Dr. Sarina Shirazi, Head of Department Business and Social Sciences, TMUC, and Ms. Nida Asif, Faculty Member, TMUC Islamabad.

Dr Sarina Shirazi welcomed the judges and introduced the theme of the competition, “Greenovation Challenge 4.0: Insight to Impact – Transforming Ideas into Sustainable Enterprise,” highlighting the importance of innovation-driven entrepreneurship for long-term environmental and economic growth.

Ms Muneeze Muzaffar, Head of Institution, TMUC Islamabad, warmly welcomed all participating teams and judges, appreciating the students’ enthusiasm and dedication toward sustainable innovation.

Addressing the audience, Ambassador Masood Khan emphasised the urgent need for Pakistan to prioritise sustainability and innovation, stating that the country is ready to embrace change and compete effectively in international markets.

Ms Anna Faisal, Executive Director and Chief Development Officer of The Millennium Education Group, highlighted the strong synergy among TMUC’s schools and the collective effort behind organising a successful event, reinforcing TMUC’s commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement.

The top three teams presented groundbreaking ideas focused on transforming technology into sustainable business models and promoting long-term environmental impact. The third runner-up received a cash prize of Rs. 15,000, the second runner-up received Rs. 25,000, while the winning team was awarded Rs. 50,000.

All judges presented awards to the winning teams and were also honoured with mementoes in recognition of their valuable contribution to the success of Greenovation Challenge 4.0.

The event concluded with renewed commitment toward fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability among Pakistan’s youth, reinforcing TMUC’s role as a catalyst for positive change and future leadership.
