TMUC Celebrates 10 Years of Academic Partnership with the University of Hertfordshire

Pakistan, July 2026: The Millennium Universal College (TMUC) Pakistan has celebrated a decade of academic partnership with the University of Hertfordshire (UH), United Kingdom—recognised as Pakistan’s longest-standing transnational education partnership.

The milestone was marked by a high-level strategic visit from Ms. Stephi Brett-Lee, Chief Marketing Officer at the University of Hertfordshire, who toured TMUC campuses across Pakistan. Her visit reaffirmed the institutions’ shared commitment to academic excellence, internationalisation, and expanding access to globally recognised higher education.

The visit commenced in Islamabad, where Ms. Brett-Lee joined Dr. Faisal Mushtaq, Founder and Chief Executive of TMUC Higher Education Group; Ms. Mariam Qasim, Dean of Academics and Internationalisation; and members of TMUC’s senior leadership for a meeting at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.

During the meeting with Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Chairman of HEC Pakistan, discussions focused on international academic partnerships, quality assurance, and expanding globally recognised educational opportunities for Pakistani students. The Chairman appreciated TMUC’s continued contribution to strengthening international collaboration and enhancing the global outlook of higher education in Pakistan.

Ms. Brett-Lee also met Ms. Sara Pervez, Head of Education at the British Council Pakistan. The meeting explored opportunities for further collaboration in higher education, student development, internationalisation, and strengthening educational links between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

As part of the visit, Ms. Brett-Lee toured TMUC Islamabad, TMUC Rawalpindi, TMUC Lahore, the TMUC–UH Global Knowledge Park in Lahore, TMUC Karachi, and MiTE Karachi. She was accompanied by Ms. Mariam Qasim, Ms. Shahana Rasool, Mr. Waqas Mather, the Heads of Institutes, and campus leadership teams.

The multi-campus tour provided an overview of TMUC’s academic ecosystem, modern infrastructure, and student-centred learning environment. Ms. Brett-Lee visited classrooms, libraries, laboratories, collaborative learning spaces, and student support centres while meeting faculty members, students, alumni, and professional staff.

Discussions throughout the visit covered curriculum development, quality assurance, student experience, employability, industry engagement, and the future of transnational education in Pakistan. Prospective students also participated in orientation sessions, where they learned about internationally recognised degree pathways offered through the TMUC–UH partnership.

A key highlight was Ms. Brett-Lee’s visit to the TMUC–UH Global Knowledge Park in Lahore. The major higher education development is designed to promote innovation, interdisciplinary learning, research, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration.

At TMUC Lahore, Ms. Brett-Lee attended strategic presentations on TMUC’s institutional growth, internationalisation strategy, and future plans for the Global Knowledge Park. The presentations highlighted TMUC’s expanding international partnerships and continued investment in transformative learning experiences for students across Pakistan.

Speaking during the visit, Ms. Brett-Lee praised TMUC’s growth, academic environment, and commitment to students.

“I have been genuinely impressed by the passion, ambition, and sense of purpose that I have witnessed across every TMUC campus. The quality of the facilities, the dedication of the academic teams, and the enthusiasm of the students are truly outstanding,” she said.

She also described the hospitality extended during her visit as exceptional and commended the confidence, talent, and aspirations of TMUC students and alumni.

“Meeting successful alumni and hearing how their education has shaped their careers is a testament to the impact TMUC is making—not only in Pakistan, but also in preparing graduates to succeed globally,” she added.

Ms. Brett-Lee also praised TMUC’s forward-looking approach, describing the vision behind the Global Knowledge Park as an exciting demonstration of the institution’s long-term commitment to transforming higher education in Pakistan.

Dr. Faisal Mushtaq, Founder and Chief Executive of TMUC Higher Education Group, welcomed the visit as an important milestone in TMUC’s international journey. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to developing global partnerships that empower students through internationally recognised, innovative, and industry-relevant education.

The visit concluded with networking engagements involving students, alumni, faculty members, and institutional leaders. These sessions provided opportunities to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships, and identify future areas of academic collaboration.

The 10-year milestone marks another significant chapter in the TMUC–University of Hertfordshire partnership. Through engagements across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi, the visit celebrated a shared commitment to academic excellence, international collaboration, innovation, and preparing Pakistani graduates to succeed on the global stage.
